President and CEO
Tom Lentsch serves as President and CEO of Unified Screening & Crushing. He began his career at Minnesota Fence & Iron, Unified’s predecessor – first on the manufacturing floor, weaving wire, and then on installation of woven wire fences – reporting directly to his father. His father, Eugene Lentsch purchased the company in 1969.
With his degree in Business from the University of St. Thomas, Tom added a second, successful career from 1982 until 1984, managing, purchasing and brokering a real estate portfolio in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota.
Tom and his wife Debbie opened the California office in 1985, bootstrapping the startup of Unified’s first satellite office. California Wire became the company’s first ever sales office, and then first manufacturing facility, outside of Minnesota. Thirty-seven years later Unified is 14 facilities strong in 14 states across the country. Even with the company’s expansion and growth, adding a vast catalog of wear parts and products for the sand and gravel and mining industries, what has remained constant is Unified’s family ownership and a commitment to manufacturing here in the U.S.
Tom was named President of Unified in 2003 and continued the second-generation leadership of Unified. In 2022, Tom and Debbie acquired a majority ownership in the company. With sons, Andrew and Jonathan, they are proud to lead their industry as one of the few, remaining family-owned American companies, serving the industries that build America and American infrastructure.
“Our strategy for growth is as important today as ever before: hiring, developing, and motivating a team that focuses on problem-solving and service.”
